What keeps you going?

Ladies I apologize for the lack of posts lately.
I haven't been feeling super great lately.
I did want to ask though what keeps you from eating the temptations that come along.

I know for me if I plan something special into my day that I am looking forward to I am less likely to cheat. It doesn't have to be anything big or something huge in points, even a 1 point sucker, sugar free pudding or a ww fudge pop works quite well!

  1. I just found your blog and thought I would say hello! While I don't partake in WW I do like to eat healthy and love to get my exercise. I look forward to reading about your journey!

To avoid that cookie I have my eye on I drink some water and keep on with my day.

  2. I'm the same way. For instance, I have a Smart Ones peanut butter cup brownie dessert waiting for me tonight, it's 3 points (A lot!) and I'm trying to be in control and only have fruit for snacks, etc.

  3. SUGAR FREE PUDDING is totally my salvation!!! I am in love with it and it completely satisfies my craving for something sweet after dinner!

  4. I can honestly say that knowing I have to step on that scale is what keeps me going. Plus, I usually try to be good during the week so I can cheat on the weekend.

  5. I have looked EVERYWHERE for those apple & carmel suckers!! They look so good, but I can't find them. I think you can order them online, but I don't wanna pay $20-30 for shipping a bag of suckers to my home :P

  6. I agree with Mrs. Guru. Seeing that scale every single morning in my bathroom and knowing that I will have to step on it soon keeps me motivated!! That, and also the fact that all the stores now have bathing suit displays!! Yikes!

  7. I am having one of those weeks where motivation is VERY hard to come by!!! I keep telling myself that if I make it through the weekend I will treat myself to a sushi lunch on Monday after my CPA exam!

Also, for something sweet I really enjoy frozen grapes. They taste like italian ice!!!

  8. Hi, I just found your blog through Chellie/Weight Watcher 4 Life. It is such a great blog- I read through from the very start. It's very informative and not full of a bunch of misconceptions and bad information. It's very intelligent and well-thought out.

Congrats on your weight loss success- you look beautiful. You actually remind me of a childhood friend. I will definitely keep reading.

The best way for me to avoid temptations is to stay full so that smells and visual images don't tempt me as much, and to not deprive myself. If I go too long without some kind of a treat, I'll cave in, so I try to have one every now and then. And it definitely helps to plan ahead and have low-cal options available.
